Welcome

Dear Industry Representatives,

On behalf of the European Association for Haematopathology (EAHP) and the Society for Hematopathology (SH), it is my great pleasure as chair of the local organizing committee to invite you to Basel, Switzerland, to be present at the 18th Meeting of the EAHP, which will be held from September 3–8, 2016. The meeting venue will be the Congress Center Basel (CCB), which provides state of the art technology and infrastructure.

The bi-annual Meeting of the EAHP and the SH is probably the most important hematopathology congress worldwide. An exciting and interdisciplinary program will offer a well-balanced mixture of scientific and practical issues of hematopathology. This will include an educational session, a bone marrow and lymphoma symposium and workshops. In addition there will be “meet the professor sessions”, satellite symposia and poster-presentations and discussions. A faculty of internationally renowned speakers will address the most recent issues and controversies in hematopathology including “late-breaking” abstracts. The great success of this outstanding event is best documented by the continuous increase of delegates from all over the world during the last years with more than 700 participants in Istanbul, 2014.

The most important target groups include general surgical pathologists, hematopathologists in private practice, community hospitals and large academic centres, basic researchers as well as haematologists and oncologists. I am convinced that this unique bi-annual International Meeting provides an ideal platform to show presence in the field, promote your product, feel the market trends and use the opportunity to network. There will be several different options and partnership packages to support the meeting. In addition we are preparing for all delegates an exciting Basel social program that promises to be a unique experience for all visitors of this beautiful Swiss city.

Hoping to see you at EAHP in Basel 2016!

Stephan Dirnhofer, MD
Chair, Local Organizing Committee
