Lymphoma Workshop (LY WS) and Bone Marrow Workshop (BM WS)

The Lymphoma Workshop will be devoted to aggressive lymphoid and accessory cell (hematolymphoid) neoplasms.

Cases acceptable for the Lymphoma Workshop:

  • Indolent B-cell lymphomas with aggressive features
  • De novo large B-cell lymphomas with morphological features suggesting more aggressive behavior
  • De novo large B-cell lymphomas with molecular features suggesting more aggressive behavior
  • Large B-cell lymphomas with unexpected indolent behavior
  • Burkitt lymphoma with atypical features
  • Accessory cell and histiocytic neoplasms

The topic of the Bone Marrow Workshop is “Aggressive malignancies of the 'Other Cells' of the bone marrow: Histiocytes, dendritic cells and mast cells”.

Cases acceptable for the Bone Marrow Workshop:

  • Reactive and neoplastic disorders of histiocytes
  • Plasmacytoid and other dendritic cell neoplasms
  • Aggressive mastocytosis

Please note that only electronic submission will be accepted. Faxed or mailed abstracts will not be reviewed.

A submission fee of € 25 applies per case submission. This fee will be deducted from your registration fee upon registration to the congress.

Guidance for Submission of Cases to the Lymphoma Workshop:

  1. Only cases with adequate clinical, immunophenotypic/molecular data will be considered for presentation and/or summary by the panel members.
  2. Cases must be registered online between August 2015 and November 28, 2015.
  3. Case content shall be defined in these fields: clinical history, fixation details, morphological findings, immunophenotype, cytogenetics, molecular studies, proposed diagnosis, interested feature(s) of submitted cases
  4. Cases must be sent to Stephan Dirnhofer, MD, or Alexandar Tzankov, MD, by November 28, 2015. Please indicate that goods have "a commercial value of 1.00 EUR" to avoid customs and import duties.
  5. Case submissions must be posted with all the requested items.
  6. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
  7. Cases are limited to one for each lead submitter.
  8. By submitting a case to the workshop, the submitter agrees to the use of the case in publications resulting from the workshop, appropriately acknowledged.
  9. Submitters will be notified of acceptance by the panel by April 29, 2016.
  10. It is expected that cases selected for oral presentation will be presented by the lead submitter except in exceptional circumstances.

Case Requirements

  1. Ten H&E and 15 unstained sections and/or a representative paraffin block. Original immunohistochemical stained slides and in situ hybridization slides may be sent at the discretion of the submitter.
